Description:
Uprooted from his native Algeria at the age of 20, Beneito has turned the planet into his home, the peoples o f the earth into his neighbors, the music of the world into his universe, and innumerable voyages and discoveries into his album of memories just a life so to speak! His paintings spring from the richness of these experiences--blues music, lost loves, cruises and crossings, meetings and discoveries, places visited --that the artist spills onto the canvas of his life. The colors of Beneito' s palette are alive and invigorating. Warm colors and the blue azur of the Mediterranean coast tap to the rhythm of the knife, in b road flat movements of delicate strokes that sculpt the work of art that is his painting. Beneito's art is above all a view, a sensibility, and the profound humanity of an artist who feels free yet also doubles as a man in constant search of memory. Tout oeuvre d'art est I'enfant de son temps et, bien sur, la mere de nos sentiments." (Every work of art is born of its own time, and , of course, is birthed from the mother of our feelings.) [Vassily Kandinsky 1866 - 1944].
